I am proud to nominate Eva Blevins, Supervisor for School Readiness and Disabilities at the Stanislaus County Office of Education, for the STEAM Hero Award. Eva Blevins is a true champion of STEAM education. Through her leadership, STEAM has become embedded throughout the agency, ensuring that science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics are not enrichment opportunities for a few—but accessible, meaningful experiences for all learners. Her vision has elevated early learning environments by integrating hands-on exploration, inquiry-based instruction, and inclusive practices that support young children of all abilities. As Supervisor for School Readiness and Disabilities, Eva ensures that STEAM opportunities are equitable and developmentally appropriate. She works tirelessly to support educators with professional development, resources, and encouragement, empowering them to confidently implement innovative STEAM practices in their classrooms. Her advocacy guarantees that students with disabilities have full access to engaging, creative, and rigorous learning experiences. Eva’s leadership inspires collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement across programs.
